I didn't think anyone would remember Charlie Dashley's famous meat pies!
Nothing better in the early morning when they were still hot. I heard that he had to abandon the original recipie as it didn't have enough meat in it to be called a meat pie, but I DO know that the quality suffered as a result, and I think they stopped making them soon after.

there is a bakers on leasowe roadm which used to be called malcolm's, his pies were amazing. i still go there now where the pies are still pretty good but are no way as good as when it was called malcolm's.
