has anyone got Folio Views 4.2 used for better searches in the 1881 census cd set I would like to be able to search by street or occupation building etc It is an advanced query prog so you put any word in and search for it
The 1881 census cds are on 25 discs and I'm not too sure if it only costs £10 now I paid £30 for mine at the time at familysearch.org
I know you can search online but would like to search better than just by surname
house joiner (journeyman) I am presuming since my nan was 2nd or 3rd child of marriage (USUALLY MENS MARRIAGE AGE 20/25 YEARS OLD) he was born about 1868 give or take 5 years
Sorry have no access to 1901 1911 census On birth cert DATED 1893 they lived in 5 Harriet St Claughton USD
it now costs £9.25 for a certificate,. do not pay anymore for it. You have to register but thats for free! look for marriage cert and then add the details. not sure on the time for delivery at the moment.
as for the census like you can only find the same one as you in 1881, but have found them in 1891, 1901 and 1911. put your email address in a pm and i will email them to you.
struggling with 1871 cos it doesnt say a John R Thomas just a John Thomas, so may have to wait for marriage cert.
As for the pubs,, you may be best getting hold of a directory and looking for a list of pubs.
now found and downloaded folio views 4.2 Still got to work out searches pic of this one I found interesting the name and the van in field (caravan?)
