Wirral CH63, seems to get an awfull lot of charity bags stuffed through letteboxes these days - about 4 a week at least, We do not have a Ton of stuff to give away each week! Do other parts of WIrral suffer from this? WE DONT WANT THEM thanks.
I understand they are for a good cause, but far too many of them!

It's always a good thing to check the small print on these bags carefully as some of them say things "ABC recycling supports this charity" whilst giving the impression that the collection is being run by the charity so not much of your donation will actually end up with the charity.
If in doubt take things to a charity shop or the collection bins in some of the supermarkets.

As AR_One says I take mine to the charity shop or Collection Bins.
I have tried a couple of times putting the bag out but they never get collected

Just use them as small bin liners.

I think there are too many of them too Nigel.I only give to certain charities anyway and they do usually pick up the stuff I put out. Some ask you to place the unused bags outside on collection day so they can be taken back but I don't think many people do. If my stuff doesn't get taken I just use the next one that I would be prepared to give to and use that as the outer bag with the other one inside it.

We use ours in our recycling bin. They are worn out after a couple of weeks, and they usually have handle which make them easy to empty and replace.
See you in cyberspace!

I understand they are for a good cause, but far too many of them! Yes, in our area ch45, we get at least 2 bags pushed through door a week. We havent got that much to give away and I dont always think that its for charitable causes! Could be anyone just wanting to sell them on at a boot sale, you never know.
