But when i turned it on it worked for 20mins while i was testing it and its definatley a jtagable xbox 360. Then when i turned it off and then on again its showing a e73 error and i have no idea what this is or how to fix it so this ould be usefull to someone who knows what they are doing lol
this sale is just for the xbox its self no leads or hard drives or controllers.

i'll try explaining it. a Jtagable xbox 360 means it can be hacked with a software program or hardware chip. This will allow you to run games burnt to a DVD or through an external Hard Drive (same to what i do for the Nintendo Wii) so you dont have to pay out an arm and a leg for new games for it. it also allows you to use "mods" which other people create that alter the way a specific game works like taking a bulb and replacing it with a different colored one. normally this violates the Xbox Live terms and conditions but that can be bypassed by "stealthing" past security with the chip. Modified xbox 360 are a gold for gamers nowdays although theres the always the risk of the RROD (which affects all 360 units at a 54% failure rate). to answer the Error: E73 Means that there is an I/O error with either The Controller Handling chip or the Ethernet Port which you may want to get it fixed at a local repair shop.

not all of them are hackable. later revisions have the CPU and GPU on a 65nm die and have different DVD Drives (some might a hitachi or samsung DVD Drive) as well as different BIOS Chips ect...still get the RROD though due to poor manufacturing although the rumoured "xbox slim" might fix this with a hybrid CPU/GPU combo on a 32nm die is coming alongside the insanely difficult to develop for Project Natal

Ahh right, i get it now, just like the original xbox, the one that had 3 holes in the dvd drives read all discs better than the ones with a single hole smile

u just need to take it apart. tke off the x-clamp for the heatsink. get some 10 ml m5 (i think) bolts. basically roofing bolts. whateva size they r. just cut em down to 10ml. get em from screw fix for 1 pound odd. then 8 1 ml m5 washers. one for each side of the board on the m5 bolt. then clean the old thermal compound (a silver base gel) using nil varnish remover and an ear bud. should be able to get it like a miror. then get a new thermal compound from maplin. 6 kwid. somethin like that. cover the heat sink with the compound and re screw it to the board. turn it on for 15 mins (dont play it just leave it on) let it heat up then switch it off let it cool down for 15 mins then turn it on and away u go. not hard to do at all. use a hair dryer to heat the xbox wilver seal and pick it off with tweazers. wont break the seal an u keep ur warranty.

one this xbox has been jtaged and the e73 error fixed the xbox is then worth £200+ all day long on ebay as xbox 360's that an be jtagged are getting rarer and rarer they need to be manufatured before june/july 2009 and not of been on xbox live before august 2009 so you an see that they are hard to find.

nah jtaggable xbox's aint really that hard to find. i can get 1 working for 90 kwid. in proper good condtiton aswell. and also if it has had the RROD or the e73 error in ur case then it is prone for that to happen again later down the line. u just have to re-apply the thermal compound again. mine did it like 4 times in the space of 3 months. gets a pain in the ass unless ur ok with running ur xbox without the casing. dont look the best but keeps it cool. the error only happens coz xbox r idiots and didn t design a good way to get the hot air out of the console. and put tiny holes in the places the air can get out. so the thermal compound melt and the heat sink moves away from the board too much.

and whelan whats the problem with ur's ? may not be a permanent fix. my first fix lasted a while but when it went again i fixed it then it went another few times in the space of a few months. unless its the disk error problem then thats a peice of piss permanent fix.
