I went here in the early 90's after I left school to get an NVQ. It was basically a few months of working towards NVQ, and then spend the rest doing nothing. crazy
It was located on Gorsey Lane in Wallasey, on the right after the bend (coming from the tunnel).
The houses were built shortly after I left, and now the whole building has been demolished, probably for 'luxury apartments'.

Did anyone else go here? I seem to remember spending the last few months I was there smoking copiously (it's where I started) and playing football to relieve the boredom.
It also had a fully equipped CAD machine!

Oh yeah, it also backed onto a place that made stuff that went in sweets and it constantly smelt of Swizzles (and their ilk).

Yeah. I went there 90s-00s part time doing courses. I did my 'intro to counselling' there-little did i know then that i'd end up going the whole hog+ qualifying. Lol.
I liked the canteen where you could have a fag! A lot of places banned indoors smoking before it became illegal.
Also remember the gym-used to work there.

One of the best things was the smoking in the canteen.

Yeah, the little red book, 32 quid a week - I couldn't believe my eyes. I still have that, and the pink bankcard.
I seem to remember Vicki and Nicky who were in admin.

I have a photo of a Marconi but the one in Field Road.

Did the one you're talking about become 'South Wallasey Neighbourhood College' ?

I went there in 1985 but it was in Field Road. Would love to hear from anyone that went there about the same time. We had a trip to Alton Towers and foolishly I wore stiletto heels (I guess they must have been trendy!!!) and I broke the heel on Corkscrew so had a day of walking around wonkily and trying to stand on my toes on one of my feet. Dear me.......

Yeah. I went to the one in Field Road Wallasey. 1984. It was quite interesting and boring at the same time. Very unusual vibe. Learnt to program on an Apple IIe computer and that BBC micro that was the big tits then. Just simple stuff but it got me in the game. 5 1/4 - inch floppy disks lol.

I went to the field raod one too in 1984, carlette park for our city and guilds i micro electronics and computers(we ended up getting the group getting kick out :0P).Remember forgetting to close the safety window on the acid bath for the circuit board and getting splashed in the face!!.
Also loved the pcb drill machine it was like looking down a target site of a weapon lol.
remember towards the end of our course we went down to be the first to use the gorsey lane site.
