Interesting. They opened Bidston observatory to the public during the Festival of Britain in 1951. I remember going round it then.

Great to see the video. They did open the observatory in the 1990's and it was an interesting trip around. Shame its not being used at the moment. They did want to make it into a museum but no money. Thanks
