Police appeal for owners of jewellery

POLICE are appealing for the owners of this jewellery to contact them.

The items were recovered from a house in Birkenhead and a 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft. He is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

Constable Sam McAteer said: "We are still investigating to establish if the property is stolen, but we need the public's help to do this.

"We are asking people who have been victims of burglary to contact us if they recognise any of it as belonging to them.

"Some of the jewellery is quite distinctive and includes rings, bracelets and necklaces, which may at some time been a treasured possession for someone and it would be good to see them re-united with their owners."

In order to claim the items, proof of purchase or the ability to describe an individual or distinctive feature of the jewellery will be necessary.

If you recognise any of the items, contact police on 0151 777 2269.
