A MAN who sank waist-deep into mud is in hospital suffering from hypothermia.

The 25-year-old had to be pulled out by rescuers after sinking into mud flats near Bedford Road East, in New Ferry, Wirral.

He is now being treated by medics at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Hoylake lifeboat crew spotted him while on a routine patrol and raised the alarm at around 11.45 Saturday morning.

Specialist rescue teams were then dispatched by the fire service.

They managed to reach him by inching across the mud on a buoyant board.

ok, if the bloke had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time then fair enough and all is pleased to see him safe. But if the tit was pissed or is in need of professional help cos he's a f^ckwit then save us all the time and bother and let the idiot be one less of the population.

Sometimes, care in the community fails us.
