Got for sale the following...
- 850Mhz Pentium III - Socket370, 256KB L2, 100Mhz FSB
- 750Mhz Pentium III - Socket370, 256KB L2, 100Mhz FSB
- 800Mhz Pentium III - Socket370, 256KB L2, 133Mhz FSB
- 766Mhz Celeron - Socket370, 128KB L2, 66Mhz FSB
All the CPU's are standard FCPGA and standard 370 configurations and not Slot1. They are all based upon the Coppermine core, NOT the Tualatin core (which needs extra voltage requirements which most mobo's cant provide). Thy will work on Slot 1 based motherboards, but you will need a a Slt 1 - Socket370 convertor to use them, which may not be cost effective nowadays.
The 850Mhz Pentium III is very good for upgrading older systems, as getting hold of anything above 700Mhz on the 100Mhz FSB can be a pain and the "very" common Intel 810 chipset does not support a 133Mhz FSB.
The 766Mhz Celeron may also be good for upgrading even earlier PC's as it was the last, and most powerful CPU, which was made on the 66Mhz FSB, which again, some earlier chipsets were limited to.
Not really got a price on them, a few quid for each I guess, the 850Mhz will be £5 though as its a rare one and may actually be worth me holding onto.
Would be ideal for getting more life out of older systems, the Pentium III in particular isnt all that bad a CPU, and can easily cope with XP and possibly Windows 7 Starter though not really suitable for Vista (it will run it, just Vista is sort of bloated).
