Anyone got a spare DVD player lying around, I already have one but it won't play discs recorded on a computer.

isn't the case, the cheaper the better for playing dodgy DVD and off the computer. A niece of mine bought a really expensive DVD and then had to go and buy a cheapy from Tesco so she could play all the pirates she had, the good one wouldn't play them.
