Graham Sankey in court over Joe Anderson harassment claims A MAN will appear in court today accused of harassing the Liverpool Labour leader who spearheaded the campaign to free Michael Shields.
Graham Sankey – who once confessed to the attack for which Michael was wrongly imprisoned – was arrested after an alleged attack on Cllr Joe Anderson.
Sankey, 24, of Hillbrook Drive, Walton, was charged with behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was due to appear at North Liverpool's Community Justice Centre this afternoon.
Cllr Anderson led the campaign to win justice for Michael after his conviction for the attempted murder of a Bulgarian waiter in 2005.
Sankey later withdrew his confession to that attack. THE ECHO
