Wirral man found in Moreton died of suspected drug overdose A MAN found lying in a field in Wirral died of a suspected drug overdose.
The body of the 46-year-old man was found by a member of the public on a patch of grassland outside the Moreton Arms Pub
, Moreton, at around 1pm yesterday.
Paramedics were called but were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not known what the man, named by some people locally as Jed Walker, had taken.
However, police say they are not treating his death as suspicious and they aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “We had an incident on Wirral where a 46-year-old local man was found deceased on a patch of waste ground near the Moreton Arms Pub
, on Pasture Road.
“He was found by a member of the public.
“It’s yet to be confirmed, but it appears he died of a deliberate overdose.” THE ECHO
