I have 2 videos of film from my childhood which I would love to have on disc. Is there anyone out there who would be able to do this for me?? if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move

Do you mean VHS? If so I could put them onto DVD for you using a DVD recorder. Can fit upto 8 hours per DVD (16 on DL DVD's) though obviously the lesser, the better quality - but tbh even at the lowest quality its as good as VHS and the sound is crystal.

I've done this, I bought a card and the cables to VCR. ooh get you little techie!! To transfer you need the video capture card (cheap as chips nowadays), PC to video cable (maybe S-video cable) and a vcr. Or... some kind soul on the wiki will take ya vid (laugh at how your hair use to look and the way you dressed) and record it for you!
