Free access to properties that are usually closed to the publìc or normally charge for admission. Far too many to mention here. Go to www.visitliverpool.com or www.heritageopendays.org.uk for the full open days programme. Well worth a look. Theres lots on and pre-booking is essential.

There are some Wirral events listed on the opendays website too. St Hilary's Tower, the Priory and a guided tour around Birkenhead Park to name just 3.
The free tour of George's Ventilation Tower sounds good (normally only part of the Mersey Tunnel Tour @ £5pp).
