I'm selling my Porsche 924.
It's very reliable, does 30 - 35 mpg and I'm paying 120 pounds a year on classic insurance.
The only bad points with the car is the paintwork was painted silver (original colour was petrolsilver) and it's tatty. You can only see this upclose. It also has a matte black bonnet.

The car has no rust whatsoever as the whole body was galvanised. The interior is fine with a few tears on the vinyl headlining. The engine was totally rebuilt in 2007, and the car has only done 59,000 miles.
The car has just had a new windscreen which cost 550 quid, and a new Porsche exhaust system, including little things like wheel bearing and brakes in 2009 and a new heavy duty battery. It has good tyres on standard Porsche alloys, including the same as a spare.

I am selling as the steering, clutch and gearchange is very heavy, and I'm used to little easy Japanese things. smile I drove the car from Newcastle to the Wirral recently and it was fine, you will random knocking noises and mad fluctuations with the gauges (as is the case with Porsches from this era), but it is totally reliable.

Can get more pics:

I've just cleaned up all the oxidised terminals and earths and there are no more electrical problems (windscreen wipers kept fusing due to rough contacts on the fuses).
Car drove all the way to (and went round) the Nurburgring last year (no sticker thankfully), has a period Blaupunkt Casablanca stereo and Blaupunkt 10 CD changer. Has original keys, Porsche keyring, original reg engraved windows, new lower wiring loom, new alternator/starter loom, clean interior.

The earthing points on these cars is their downfall. Classic problems with electrical contacts, this will caus the guages to fluctuate, headlights to pop on or off at will etc.
done my fair share on these and 928`s, 944`s.
Nice cars when done right and an under appreciated classic!

Yeah, still for Sale!
There was one ground point under the dashboard, it took a few minutes to clean up. It's not a huge problem, but everything works now.
