Winehouse is charged with assault Singer Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault over claims she hit a fan at an event last September.
Ms Winehouse attended a police station on Thursday morning where she was questioned and charged with common assault.

She is alleged to have hit a fan at the End of Summer Ball in Berkley Square, London.
The singer is due to attend City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 17 March.
