What do i need to carry out the 5 stud conversion?

Ive located some s13 hubs for £150. Is that a decent price?

Is there anything else i need?

Im changing the brakes too. Are S14 calipers ok? Is it worth putting fancy brake discs on or just re-drilling the old ones?

Cheers smile

I did this conversion on the 180 grin

(I paid £100 for all 4 hubs and spindles)

The only real advantage of the 5 stud hubs is the choice of wheels - redrilled discs for S14 conversions are so easy to get hold of now, its not worth doing the stud conversion just for the brakes smile

Youll need S14 hubs matey wink

Basically you need the S14 hubs and spindles, and a pair of S14 lower arm ball joints.

Spindles are a straight swap but you need to press the S14 ball joints in to the S13 lower arm (Moog make aftermarket ones) as they are bigger diameter.

You also need copper pipe to fill out the holes where the spindle mounts to the lower strut as again the S14 ones are bigger diameter.

S14 brakes are a good upgrade and uprated discs depends on how hard you drive the car. Id always go better pads before discs though as they make the biggest difference.

So you can do an S14 brake conversion without changing the hubs? Do you need any custom brackets or is it a bolt on job?

Im only after the 5 stud hubs for the wheel choices, but therre is still stuff out there for 4 studs. Plenty of new wheels availible from Rota. If i can keep the 4 stud hubs i dont see the point changing it.
