still standing the other day.
I was told the previous owners have opened a bar in Upton Rd called The Crossbar

Dating from the seventeenth century, the oldest of the three main public houses in Moreton was the Plough Inn and the Druids Arms. In the early 1930's it became known simply as the Plough Inn.
Would have been interesting to have a look in the cellars etc

I walked past on Thursday and the roof had begun to be dismantled. Not sure whether that was by fire or the demolition company.

Old pics of the plough

Still in 1904

1910-1920

This guy is great
Quote:
I have seen several quite nice images of The Plough, including one of its demolition but they are all claiming copyright which is ludicrous as it blocks the passage of information and I could not be bothered to go through the rigmarole of asking 'permission'. Any images I take and use online are there for the enjoyment and use of others not to be hoarded like a precious jewel. Whenever I get asked to let someone use an image, I always say help yourself.

What a star thumbsup
