POLICE are investigating after gun shots were fired at a house in Tranmere.
No-one was injured in the shooting in Prenton Park Road at about 8.30pm last night (Thursday) but a window was damaged.
Crime Scene Investigators are carrying out forensic examinations at the scene.
Acting Detective Inspector Peter Cain, said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously, or who has any information which could help us with our inquiries to come forward.
"Merseyside Police is committed to taking those involved in gun crime off our streets and putting them before the courts.
"Since April last year we have seen people involved in guncrime sentenced to more than 300 years in prison. A lot of this work has been achieved thanks to members of the community who have come forward with information,
"If you have any information about where guns are being stored, or about people involved in gun crime, we will act on it."
