My car should win, as it was built on a tight budget under 2.5k,including buying the car!!!!.
Its used every day and often driven hard.

6 sheets of 4ft x 4ft plaster board
and
12, 9ft lengths of 4"x2" timber.

For me, it's a choice between yours and Stuy's race car.

Convince my vote with some decent engine bay pics wink

Well, Mine started out in life as a lightly modified road car!!

..then over last winter I transformed it in to a full on race car to compete in the Classic Touring Car Series. Car is still road legal, and is still MOT'd, though I have let the Tax lapse as its a bit uncomfortable to drive on the road.

Pretty much all modifications have been done by myself, on the drive, come rain or shine...

As the season has progressed Ive got more and more used to the car, and Ive evolved the handling with additions to suspension parts, and adjustments to suspension parts. The last race showed just how competitive it had got - qualifying 4th out of 18 cars in the wet at Silverstone!!!

There are so many things that Ive done to this car now, bet thing to do is look at my MMC as the number of pictures would take this thread over

Here is how she looks now....

Where should I start....

Mine should win as its definately something a bit different. Its certainly not something you see every day.

I bought it as Ive been dying to get myself racing since an early age, and with Karting becoming more popular, it seems a fantastic series to begin in. Huge fields made up of people from all ages and backgrounds.

Even though not 100% finished, over a busy and hectic motorsport based summer, I managed to eventually take delivery of it, take it all apart, cleaned and put back together again.

The only thing Im waiting for, as you all know, is the engine. Considering that it is a Single Pistoned, 100cc 2 Stroke Vortex, it has performance levels that will put the majority of cars on Britains roads to shame.

Top Speed - 80 mph (Single gear and chain)
0-60 - 5 seconds

It has the ability of becoming a shifter kart, which basically means that a 100 cc engine will power the kart through 5 gears, onto a top speed of around 135 mph. If I were to use a 250cc Gearboxed engine, top speed would be around 160 mph !!!!!!!! All this without a seatbelt omg

For power to Weight, NOTHING even comes close thumbsup

Although not much work has been done recently, a lot has changed from when I first got it.

Started off completely standard.

Modifications include:

- M3 Mirrors
- Front Splitter
- Lowered 40mm/60mm
- Reconditioned Head with Fast Road Cams
- New Gaskets, Plugs, Leads, Water Pump, Pullys & Battery
- Spal 12" Electric Fan
- DVD Player (inc. TV, DVD, MP3, Bluetooth, SD/MMC Card)
- Front & Reverse Camera with Digital Video Recorder
- Fog Lights
- Spoiler With Brake Light
- M3 Gear Knob
- 57i Induction Kit
- Blueflame Twin DTM Exhaust
- Integral A2 Alloys (White) with BMW centre caps
- M3 'Vadar' Leather Front Seats (rear ones are still cloth)
- 60mm Steering Wheel
- Smoked Angel Eye Headlights & Indicators
- 5000k HID Kit
- Colour coded trim
- Sound deadening foam under carpet & in doors
- Black Carpet
- Smoked side repeaters
- Toad Text Alert Alarm
- Wind Deflectors (which came off on the motorway)
- New Reg Plate (which I got a £30 fine for)
- Footwell Lights
- Painted front calipers

Still to do:

- Back leather seats
- Front Strut Brace
- Rear Tints
- Cruise Control
- Digital Clock
- Cup holders
- Poly bushes
- Uprate bolts to Stainless Steel
- Door courtesy lights
- Sort Amp & Sub out
- Finish wiring
- Leather Door cards
- Reverse Glow Dials
- Rear Disc Conversion
- New Clutch
- Fit petrol cap release cable

Oh, and fix the pissed exhaust

Then I'll be happy smile

After rebuilding the engine and not managing to even get it, nevermind back on the road, I came 3rd for Car of the Year 2007.

Hopefully 1st This year?
