I'll 'fess up first then shall I, seems no one else wants to admit going there.  I attended in the eighties and started the year a Mr Absalom took over as headmaster. I went to Hillside Primary & Junior on the Noctorum estate so Ridgeway was the natural progression for me, (my old man seemed to think B.I. was the kind of place he wanted his son to attend but i knew it was where they sent kids expelled from other borough schools... I was having none of it). It seemed to have a bad reputation at the time and I remember an article the previous year, in the S*n newspaper, about drug dealing in the playground. The new headmaster seemed to turn thing's round a bit although at that point I think the only way was up!

I went to Ridgeway - '87-'92 I think.
Head teacher changed in my stretch there - Mr Absalom, then Mr Duffy.

...that was St Benedict's RC School Ridgeway and Woodchuch schools are on each side of the M53 between J2 and 3

When St Bendy Dicks was Built it was Noctorum high school for girls,( around the 60s )
