Well.. what can i do to my car?

Insurance is going to be about £2100ish a year since im only 18 so i wont be able to spend a fortune.

I'm looking to make the car look nice on the interior without going crazy and spending too much money, but also not making it look cheap and tacky.

So far i've bought a set of Hyundai leather seat covers for all seats, so they'll look smart when they arrive.

Anyone got any ideas?

thanks

i haven't and it's still that price! in fact, that was the cheapest quote, when i re-did the quote a few days ago, they said £2600 and they rang me up and told me the reason the quote was more expensive was because we are now in the winter months

looking back now when i was 18 i would save my money and save up for a better car, but then again things change, don't see that many modded cars around anymore.

£2100 is criminal - I wouldn't pay that ever - what Hyundai is it?
I had a mk1 Escort when I was 18, and I just did it up (without telling the insurance company). I was going to buy a mk2 Astra GTE, but the insurance was shocking. Worked out cheaper with a souped up 1.6 1970's car. laugh

Mod it and try Adrian Flux!

They gave me a cheaper quote for a modded celica than i got for a standard one elsewhere!

Subtle mods are the best smile Colour coding, crystal clear lights etc. Oh nad a nice ICE setup that looks pretty standard (until you switch it on)

ive always had old cars, and i mean proper old cars, oldest being 62 and newest before the RST being 1968 and the insurance will always cheap. Most ive ever paid was about £980. Try Liverpool Victoria, they sometimes have a good scheme going and it can be good for younger people but at the same time they can want too much, it varies.

I got quoted £2100 on a cossie and i wouldnt pay that on principle that its a pisstake. Id tell them where to stick it.

I HATE cars.

Warning you now mate, if you dont tell the insurance company about the mods and some muppet writes your car off (if your in it or if its just parked up) they wont pay you a penny.

Its also the same if it had a bald tyre.

They try to find anything to get out of paying out when they do the inspection wink

If you have no points and no claims, go with Liverpool Victoria, they will be cheaper than anywhere else.

I'm paying around £2600 a year for mine atm and I'm 21 and no mods declared.

I've ran out of paper and patience phoning up and on the internet getting extortionate quotes often more than £4000 - WHY?!?!

Having a car thats group 13/14 and no no claims doesnt help me though.

Anyway, in terms of mods, nothing tacky.
LED interior lights, tint windows, nice set of dials, decent stereo and decent speakers

lol twatty spoilers just makes me assume they work at halfrauds or somewhere similar... best way to mod a car imo is bringing it upto date... chique, classy, contempory < top 3 words to base ur cars styling on... obviously it's all a taste thing but a heavily used tphrase these days "less is more" is ALWAYS true lol
