Citroen AX for sale.
M Reg, Maroon, forté chassis.
80 000 Miles.
VTR Engine.
SAXO hubs.
Wolfrace 15inch Alloys.
Momo Steering wheel.
Cobra Bucket seats (bolster wear cause I'm big boned wink )and racing harnesses.
VTR Brakes (discs all round).
Koni Suspension.
Needs a new manifold, and electrics need attention.
I have corrected alot of issues with the car such as the subframe, seized brakes, bent rear axel. This is a fully drivable car, but does need attention, perfect for someone who has a couple of free weekends to have a butchers at it. The handling is go-kartesq, and the car itself will out-run lots of stuff, and is a hoot to drive, if I could do the jobs myself on the car I would keep it as a weekend car, and probably shove a VTS engine in. I live on the Wirral close to Birkenhead, so if you want to come down and have a blast in it you're more than welcome. All modifications declared, don't let that put you off though, £28 a month insurance, insane! laugh

Selling due to wanting a more sensible and faster car (BBR Mini Cooper S).

07811217941.

Not long left on tax/MOT hence £650 ono.

Nothing beyond a bit of welding (if even that, but you know what these little things are like) I shouldn't imagine, let us know if you want to come up and have a butcher's hook.

It's one of those things, if you can get over the fact that there's no safety aids like airbags, or, well any form of metal in the car that would stop another car from killing you, they're ace. So controllable, and no one likes to get had off the lights by an AX, haha esp one with the 1.1 badges still on it.

I drove an AX couple of years ago, and Im hoping it was a one off, cos it was the worst and scariest car Id ever driven. It didnt help that the seat mounting had broken, so the seat would occassionally rock.. But the handling was appalling, I couldnt get used to 4 gears, and it just felt like wed roll at any second. Reckon thats normal for an AX??

I know the GT ones were obviously better, but still, Ive been tainted for life.

Haha, oh joy, you had one with what I like to call "french suspension", haha, I've seen AXs and 105s leaning over more than motorbikes in the past, I can imagine,- horrific! The GTs are alot better, and mine has VERY little body roll due to the suspension work that's been done. I went from a lowered Mitsubishi FTO to the AX, and I've not found much roll to talk about, in fact, it's the opposite, hard, stiff, sore bum kinda ride...

hahahaha...man, my mum used to have a 106 as well, when I was learning to drive. That leaned like a bike as well...scary scary times..

If any of my mates werent lazy, and actually decided to learn to drive, Id steer them towards your car...But unfortunately, my only mate who does drive is goin off the Merchant Navy in September, so dusnt need a car anymore....
