Well, at least say something positive anyway: The head of one of Britain's biggest internet providers has criticised the music industry for demanding that he act against pirates.
The trade body for UK music, the BPI, asked internet service providers to disconnect people who ignore requests to stop sharing music.
But Charles Dunstone of Carphone Warehouse, which runs the TalkTalk broadband service, is refusing. He said it is not his job to be an internet policeman.
BBC technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones said that the music industry has been fighting a losing battle to prevent people from swapping songs for nothing on the internet.
Mr Dunstone, whose TalkTalk broadband is Britain's third biggest internet provider, said the demands are unreasonable and unworkable. Well said that man!!  BBC News Report

woohoo someone actually speaks sense.. I recon virgin media are looking at what im posting on here cause there trying to battle.. What the music industry need to realise is the invention of the Cassette Radio.. Whats stopping someone recording off the radio on to cassette then banging the cassette through the sound card on the Pc through the likes of Cool Edit cleaning up the pop's and click and hey presto LEGALLY copyed music ?? So whats the difference doing it on the internet.. Every single person in the world must copy a song i bet bill gates has done it the queen for that matter.. What they should stop is people actually creating Pirate CD's and DVD's thats the problem not people downloading off other people through peer to peer its just like lending someone a cassette to copy so whats the big deal
