Well, we arrived back about 10pm. Had a great day, the weather was surprisingly great, lovely and sunny most of the way, except for the top lol.

Didnt get there until 2:30ish cos of funny GPS directions lmao, we set off about 2:45 and I "nearly reached the summit" about 5pm, but I had to wait for Pomp as I would have lost him in the clouds, he was about 10 - 20 minutes behind me as he had entered the 2007 Snowdon Tortoise Race.

Anyway, we got to the top at about 5:20 in the end, sat off for about 45 minutes chattin to people, havin a munch etc, admiring the view and making a new mate.

Here are some photos:

Mt Snowdon

Pomp in front of Snowdon, about half way up.

Me in front of Snowdon with the customary Tesco bag containing a pure munch lol!

The last time we could actually see anything, the clouds became to thick any higher up. We were about 300 - 400 ft from the summit.

The summit marker!

Pomp at the summit!

Me at the summit!

[Linked Image]
The top of the summit marker - it lists the distances to loads of welsh places... nothing for England though, that sucks!

[Linked Image]
Our new mate lol! Scroungin for food he was!! And he wouldnt stop talking to us haha!

[Linked Image]
One of the views on the way down, probably about 1200ft from the summit

[Linked Image]
Another view from about 1000ft from the summit, had to clean this one up a lot as it was very cloudy, so the colours a bit crap!!

[Linked Image]
Snowdon as we left it!

Ive got loads and loads more photos (took about 450) and also a load of videos too, so I will sort them all out when I have the time.

Got some excellent shots on the way down, even managed to get some sunset photo's lol!

Had a great day, would do it again anytime, the weather was sweet and on the way back it was very hot and the sun was shining. On the way up the sun was playing hide and seek with us, which was good as I wouldnt have liked to have climbed it in blistering heat!

Overall, id deffo recommend it to peeps! thumbsup

Yeah, there is a cafe, but its all shut this year, as well as the train service.

They are apparently re-developing it all:

So every now and again on the way up, randomly plonked in the middle of nowhere, you see one of these:

Lol! To be fair, from the amount we could see, they are probably about half way through the redevelopment of the site, the building it almost built etc...

It should be open in time for next summer apparently.

We might be going up Sacfell Pike in a few months or summit. I say might because we certainly havent decided to yet by any means, but if we do we will let peeps know on here.

Apparently Pomp might be going up Snowdon again soon...
