For anyone who was affected in any way by the Hillsborough tragedy in 1989, there will be a memorial service held at Anfield on the day of the anniversary, which is next Sunday. As is the custom, Anfield will stage a memorial service to mark the 18th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster on Sunday, April 15.
It is organised annually by the Hillsborough Family Support Group to remember the 96 victims of the tragedy. The service will be inter-denominational and will take place on the Kop at Anfield. It will commence at 2.45pm, include a minute's silence at 3.06pm and concludes at about 3.30pm with the singing of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. There will be readings from David Moores, Kenny Dalglish and Jamie Carragher. All are welcome to attend the service. Am only posting this incase anyone is interested in attending but is not aware. Also, there is sometimes a 1 minute silence on the local radio stations to remember the 96 died. More Information

Yes, its always associated soley with Liverpool FC for obvious reasons, but the pain is shared by both fans of Liverpool and Everton, it bought both clubs and sets of fans much closer together.
The impact it has had on the city of Liverpool and Merseyside, and football and sports stadiums in general across the world is massive.
There arnt many people on Merseyside who wernt affected or didnt know somebody that was affected by the tragedy.
RIP the 96 - You'll Never Walk Alone
