I bought this van last week for £250 and it was filthy... so i spent 3days proper gutting the exterior and interior to get it nice and clean tradegy struck (for me anyway) yesterday evening when after having some welding work done and covering a hole left by the previous owners power cables for his sound system... i rehooked up the battery and now my imobiliser has kicked in and i can't start it at all .... i don't know what to do so i'm stuck with a tidy motor that doesnt work for the time being.... i may just use this time to rip it's heart out and put a new engine in mods so far on it are... rs2000 headlights and front bumper laguna front splitter pink roofbars 14" pepperpots tinted rear windows upcoming mods : new engine (not decided yet) full blow over respray (few dings and chipped paint atm) rear doors retinted roll cage interior bits painted 15" white steelie wheels with a pink lip rs2000 bonnet

250 quid!! thats incredible. Looks clean aswell, including the engine. Gutted that its immobilised itself, are u not wanting to remove the immobiliser (is it aftermarket or ford immob) if u do change the engine and need a hand then me and dazza can give u tips if u ask, both of us have changed escort engines (mk6 ones)

wont that leave the ignition live all the time? if turning the key from II to O doesnt stop the engine that means the circuits are still closed (on) so it'll drain ur battery and maybe worse
BTW i know nothing of diesels so dont even know what things are live when the key is at II

nah all it is is that the bung that cuts off the fuel to the engine has been taken out and so it doesnt cut out straight away upon removing the key, all the lights and stuff switch off, just the engine can keep running.

Looked well this the othernight.
Have a soft spot for the esxort van always wanted one.
Haywood think i cage would look alittle strange though matey havnt seen a caged van before???
If you can before you get it sprayed buy the single rear door makes a massive difference to the car.
You going cvh turbo or staying with the old tractor puller engine???
drifting drifting and yet more skidding
