I am just doing a bit of research and I believe this will be the one site where I will just get a straight answer.

I am wondering what web browsers people most commonly use. I am hoping this won't just turn into an argument over which browser is best like on every other forum in the world hehe.

For users who dont know what they use, you can tell this from the very top of your web browser (the program you are using to view this website), unless you or your ISP software have tweaked it, it will say something like the following:

Internet Explorer 6: (This is the standard browser with Windows XP)
Quote:
Cruisewirral.com: What Browser Do You Use? - Microsoft Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 7:
Quote:
Cruisewirral.com: What Browser Do You Use? - Windows Internet Explorer

Mozilla Firefox:
Quote:
Cruisewirral.com: What Browser Do You Use? - Mozilla Firefox

Any other browser such as Opera/Safari/Browzar etc can be placed into the other catgory.

This info will come in handy for developing websites as different browsers display things differently.

Thanks peeps! smile

Out of all the browsers ive used, I would personally agree that Opera is the best. But it was a paid browser until this year, so it kind of explains it hehe.

I dont use it as much as IE7 however, which is light years ahead of Firefox for usability and online safety, and probably just edging out Opera at present.

I see from the poll users are still using IE6. IE7 has today oficially been released to the public - in the intrests of security alone, id recommend you upgrade to Internet Explore 7 asap.

You can do this using either Windows Update or by visiting the Internet Explorer website.

Visit latest breaking News.
You will hear a bleep.

Click on the RSS icon (orange thing)
on the IE7 Tool bar.

And you can subscribe to the new feeds.

To view them later, clik the "Star" on the left tool bar.
Then click on feeds.

I have to sort them out with lots of other stuff too.

Enjoy
