I have decided on my next project, a twin turbo or charger V8 - mid mounted in an old mini. Problem is i need two turbos or chargers. Anyone got any? They need to be able to cope with a 1.8 or 1.9 cc engine. PM me if anyone knows of any.

How much boost do you want to run? If your leaving the engine std and just bolting them on then you'll want small turbos for low boost but fast response, or will you need bigger turbos with a little more lag but higher power? For the higher power option, 15psi, maybe T25's, for 10psi maybe T2s will suit or something from a Turbo diesel. Youll also need manifolds fabricating unless someone outthere already does a pair of turbo manifolds for the Rover V8. I guess Supercharging is better, but its much much harder to fit, get parts for and set up. Maybe its a good idea to just get the V8 in and running first

Getting the engine in is no problem, got the chassis 90% built already. Fabricating manifolds is also not a problem as i am a fabrication business. I have the engine in pieces and it would be built up before it would be converted. I want to strenghten the engine with ARP bolts ect... but also like the idea of two from a diesel engine as they are cheeper. Any ideas on a car / turbo ect...

I wouldnt bother with T2s there puny.
Opt for the T3 or T4, obviously T4 has more lag. T3 is quite common, things like ERST come standard with them

If you going twin turbo remember its only 1750cc per turbo.
As Dazza mentioned the T3s of the Escort RSTs are on a 1600, but they are a very small T3 and still laggy on the 1.6. You already have the massive torque of the V8, and a pair of small turbos would give a nice power increase over most of the rev range, plus, V8's tend not to rev too high, which is where a small turbo loses it effiency.
You'll only need the strengthen the botton end if your running good boost, pistons, rods and crank would be a good idea if that was the case. Also to run high boost levels something would need to be done to add more fuel to cope.
Id stick some small diesel turbos in there, low lag, and low boost (7 - 10psi), at least the engine will cope with the stress, the fueling shouldnt be to bad and you should get some more power from it.
Get your sights set too high and it will blow the motor unless you spend £10k+ on getting the engine / fueling right.
