last couple of days i have not had much confidence in my engine, ive started to notice a bit of a delay in acceleration andthe engine has failed to start first time on a couple of occasions, and sumtimes when it does start it does not idle correctly and will cut out if i touch the accellerator. I have been told it could be the head gasket which i pray to god it aint! i have also been told it could be a cause of the weather, the damp could of gotten in the engine and have been given a can of damp start to spray on my spark plug leads, which i will try, but last couple of times the car has started first time.. im confused....

Sounds like a slightly less serious case of what I've got, makes me feel better lol mine struggles to start, then when the engine does fire up, it sounds like my problem becomes the same as yours, maybe it is just the weather?

No Mate, generally an intermaeiate service is only an oil & filter change and a general vehicle inpection for safety related items.
This varys from garage to garage but i am 95% they wouldnt have checked the plugs and laeds etc etc....
Maybe check your air & fuel filters, if they look old or dirty then replace them. Even throw a set of spark plugs in whilst your there and then see how it is then ?
