I'd suggest you buy "Retro Cars", "Retro Ford", "Classic Car" and "Practical Performance Car" magazines. 90% of the stuff in them are mechanical based. They cover things like this, there are a couple of decent sites who deal with advanced modification like this. All the ones with the beardy types.
There is an older Ford V8 that is smaller and thinner than the Rover V8 and it'll fit in. You will have to cut away the bulkhead in most case and modify the rack with the Rover.

in grass track racing yyeeeeaaarrrrs ago i seen a few mini pick ups with v8's with chargers on pushing 440bhp and 380nm no probs. i'd say the only prob would be stopping, willwood 4pots on 285discs are approx 600notes

New ones (usually brown by now): [img] http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/impol_1902_8461775[/img] The 240's also have LSD on rwd axle. Very well specced mechanically. Fiat Coupe Turbo brakes are also very good (Brembo), and have the standard carrier attachments.
