Does it come with the transducer???
Thats the wire from the back of the speedo to the gearbox, should be 3 wire and a plug one end if not these are about £80 from Vauxhalss, if it has , do it, i fitted one to my nova, takes a while but not a hard job...

My mate had 1 on his Astra GTE and it was so dodgy. <img border="0" alt=" " title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions053.gif" /> didn't clock a speed when he was in reverse, would jump from speed to speed e.g 70-50-60-70-40 <img border="0" alt=" " title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions051.gif" /> and would sometimes just give a really bad readout e.g 30 when we were obviously doing about 70 or 80 down the motorway <img border="0" alt="[blonde moment]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions037.gif" /> . it wasn't very reliable and the amount of speed camera's now I wouldnt trust 1 <img border="0" alt="[are u mad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" /> . They may be better nowadays but that was an original 1 in a MK2 astra GTE 16v. The digi readout in the Citroen Picasso and renault scenic are really accurate tho. <img border="0" alt="[does this help]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions041.gif" />
