i think the 'modified cars' insurance people are worse sometimes. dont wana name names, dunno if we are allowed but Max Power's mate told me uninsurable on an FTO modified (or what he actually sed was £5500 plus) while the bigger ones which hvae a better rep i.e Norwich union, said about £2500. Obv i never went for either as i have my galant but it goes to show that the more specifeid the insurer in my opinion, the higher the premiums. (prob coz they have less customers so need more pounds per person to make targets.) ...zZz... speech over!

all depends how modded the car is,if its only mild go with the likes of norwich union,however most everyday insurers do not engine engine swaps or major engine mods,so u have to go with the likes of "max powers mate"
