anyone know of anyone that dose freezer repairs and what the general cost are.... trying to work out if we should buy new one or repair it thanks

hi its seems to be on, its cooled enough to freeze water but wont freeze bread, milk, or bags of veg any more.....

Ah, I thought it might have been that it didnt come on at all, because that happened to a couple of freezers Ive heard about especially the frost free ones, and its a matter of turning off, leaving for a day or two and turning back on . Something to do with the ice getting bunged up somewhere inside. Might be worth a try anyway if you can use up the stuff first ,before dumping it or paying for repairs.

There you go, this says much the same thing, but gives a better explanation as to why you would let it defrost. I didnt take mine apart, I just left it a couple of days to defrost it and wipe down with a view to binning it off, but when i switched it back on just to see, it worked perfectly.

Lets hope it is that. The other possibility is that it has lost some gas. Regassing is about £50. Finding the leak could be more expensive. Good luck!

Looks like it worked left it unplugged for 2 days un till there was no more water to mop up ( there was not that much but more than i expected as I could not see any ice) plugged back in an hey presto works like new, fantastic....thanks again
